Notario Publico - Notary Public

Un notario público es un funcionario público cuyos poderes y deberes están definidos por ley. Un notario actúa como un testigo oficial e imparcial de la identidad y firma de la persona que se acomenta ante el notario para un propósito específico. La persona puede estar haciendo un juramento, dando testimonio oral o escrito, o firmando o reconociendo su firma en un documento legal. En cada caso, el notario certifica que se han observado ciertas formalidades.

A notary acts as an official, unbiased witness to the identity and signature of the person who comes before the notary for a specific purpose. The person may be taking an oath, giving oral or written testimony, or signing or acknowledging his or her signature on a legal document. In each case, the notary attests that certain formalities have been observed.
